Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my home. I'm a San Diego based Photographer & Videographer.

Time

This was taken mid-morning when the light was just peeking through the clouds.

Lighting

I wanted the natural light from outside to gently highlight her face and create a moody feel.

Equipment

This was shot on a Sony A7rii with the Sigma 30mm

Inspiration

My girlfriend & I wanted to create during quarantine so we decided to capture how many of us are feeling during this time.

Editing

I just used Lightroom & Photoshop to edit the image. Brought up the shadows and brought down the highlights a bit.

In my camera bag

I always have my Sony A7rii & the A6000 as a backup. Then for lenses I always have my Sigma 30mm, Sony 28-70mm, Sony 16mm, and my Canon 75-300 (used with an adapter). I usually keep a shotgun microphone, a flash, and my tripod. (A handful of extra batteries too!)

Feedback

Make use of the natural light in your surroundings.
