Behind The Lens

Location

Keoladev National Park or Keoladev Ghana National Park located at Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India. Formerly known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Paradise for migratory and local Birds.

Time

Approximately 11:30 in the morning.

Lighting

When I took this photograph light was a bit harsh but I managed with ISO and keeping the exposure parameter low by one stop. I don't prefer to use any professional software to process my images, I do a bit of required changes in contrast, exposure that's it. Mostly I prefer to keep my photographs as natural as possible.

Equipment

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Canon 500mm Handheld (No Tripod) ISO 1600

Inspiration

When I go to Nature, I don't set any targets for me. I just keep my eyes on every activity happening around and enjoy. But Yes one thing I do many times i.e. Manifest. I visualise frames in my mind before clicking any shot and keep visualising. Brahminy starling Myna is very common in this habitat. But I have always visualised this beautiful bird in a particular frame. I have clicked this bird many times before,in fact very sharp images but this frame was absolutely fantastic and I felt content after taking this particular shot.

Editing

I don't prefer to use any professional software to process my images, I do a bit of required changes in contrast, exposure that's it. Mostly I prefer to keep my photographs as natural as possible.

In my camera bag

I always carry two bags with all these gears: Canon 5D Mark IV Canon 7D Mark II Canon 500mm Canon 100-400 mm Canon 100mm

Feedback

Nothing specifically but yes one thing I always suggest that don't be in haste when you are in nature. Try to observe behaviour of animals, birds, insects and wait for the right moment. I prefer solo trips and at unknown places or at predators land, I prefer to go with experience local guide only. When I am in nature I keep myself away from other fellow people around and like my own space to think and enjoy Nature. The most important thing for me is none of the creatures were disturbed during any of my click or movement in the wild and Nature.
