Location
This photo was taken during a visit I made to the Bugio lighthouse (Forte de S. Lourenço da Cabeça Seca ), located at the entrance to the Tagus River. It was a unique opportunity, suggested by a friend who worked in the Navy, a very well organized, very interesting visit in which I, together with a group of amateur photographers and passionate about photography, managed to make beautiful photos, like the one I published and which was taken right at the main entrance to the fort.Time
The photo was taken on Thursday, July 27, at 15:45 h. I remember perfectly, that I was fascinated by the colors ... the place was a little dark and I started to be stressed because the tide was going out and I had the time counted to leave the place.Lighting
The main entrance off the Lighthouse is by a small tunnel before arriving the gate. So, the light is not very good, it was very dark.Equipment
This was shot by a iPad mini 3. I try to shot my Nikon D7000 but without tripod and flash, I couldn’t do this.Inspiration
It was the place, the darkness and the light coming by the gate, the walls in stone and the effects off the humidity, the colors, it seems a magic and mysterious place.Editing
I only saw the photo when I arrived to my home and the only thing I have done, it was chose the automatic lightning off the editor’s gallery photos off my iPad.In my camera bag
How I said, I’m not a professional but I love photography and everywhere I go, I take with me my Nikon D7000 and my tablet.Feedback
My advice is not technical because I think that I’m not a expert, but I look for the beauty that is in all the things that surrounded me, the colors, the forms, the shadows, the lights, ... and I try to capture, to register the way I see the world and transmit to the people.
