I made this photo on the balcony of my little apartment. I am a self-taught artist - still trying to make as many pictures as possible. My favorite subjects are flowers. So this photo is about the blue-purple hyacinth that was standing outside of my balcony taking a sunbath.Time
It was a beautiful sunny summer morning. One of those mornings the sun makes everything look more bright and beautiful. So you go on your balcony and take a deep breath and admire the colors of your flowers.Lighting
I only use sunlight because it makes the flowers look more beautiful and let the colors pop up even more.Equipment
I made this shot with my smartphone Galaxy A5 SM-A510F. No other equipment involved.Inspiration
„Nature“ is my favorite subject I like to make pictures from (e.g. flowers and trees) and not humans, as they don’t stand still. Especially when it comes to flowers, I like to capture this special moment when they blossom - which only lasts a few days. So the best thing you can do is to make the picture right in the moment you found it. Always remember that nature doesn’t wait. The moment flowers bloom and wilt are very close together. Capturing the moment of beauty before it fades - I think that is the main reason I take pictures.Editing
No, I don’t do any post-processing. Most of my photos are made spontaneously. I usually say: „The picture finds me and not I the picture.“ I don’t go around looking for motifs. They suddenly show up and then you just have to take them.In my camera bag
At the time I made this photo, I was new to photography and I only used my smartphone for taking pictures. Today I have a new Canson camera in order to get a better quality of my photos (e.g. pixels, etc).Feedback
Just keep your eyes open and you will see things that others doesn’t see and be aware of the little things. It’s like training your eyes. I also like to paint, so I often take the photos like searching for a motif for my painting. In this case, shapes and colors take a very important role.
