Location
This photo was taken in the outskirts of my city. A small broken pier that naturally formed an amazing composition.Time
It was just 5 minutes after the sun came about the horizon. The light was warm and sky was perfect and calm.Lighting
I love photographs with calm and clear sky with beautiful colours. It gives a ethereal mood to landscape photographs.Equipment
I used a crop sensor Nikon d5200 with tokina 11-16 wide angle lens. Mounted on a tripod with 10 stop nisi filter to make the water smooth and milky.Inspiration
I was on a scouting mission. Found this location and it was very interesting. Many people have photographer this location but I wanted it unique. I wanted to include smooth lights that glow the rocks in foreground and wanted to frame the sun star close the the pier.Editing
I did very minimal post processing to preserve the details and keep it natural. In my camera bag
Being a landscape photographer, I carry a sturdy tripod and filters. Other than that my usual dslr and a wide angle lens.Feedback
If you want to create great landscape photographs, be ahead of nature. Landscape photography is hard and nature fails you if you are not prepared. Scout for locations and think we'll before shooting. Ask yourself why you want to shoot this picture.
