I spent some time photographing this gnarly tree at Godolphin Woods. To me, the contorted branches, with almost "platted" looking moss-covered growths twisting around them gave it plenty of character.
I used a polarising filter to take the glare off the leaves, while a longish focal length reduced the amount of distracting bright sky behind the tree.
Canon 6D MkII | 24-105mm lens at 73mm | ƒ-8 | 2 sec | ISO 200 | Tripod | Hoya polarising filter | Taken 14-03-2020 at Godolphin Woods
