Location
This picture was taken in a small road in Heuvelland, more specifically Wijtschate. Close to Ypres. Close to the kemmelberg is known from the cycling classic Ghent-Wevelgem. Almost at the border with France.Time
It was a mapped out route of the Trimard Classic a two-day old-timer ride that passed there in the morning. This picture was taken around 09h45 luckily it was a light foggy day.Lighting
Here I use the daylight and you must be a bit lucky that the sun is in the right place.Equipment
I photographed with a Sony A7R2. On rally's I usually use at least my 70-200 f2.8 which I also used here.Inspiration
It's a hobby to photograph cars at events like this, the owners of the cars are happy to have a picture of their passage, and for me it's a pleasure to take it.Editing
Not much has been edited, only cut out, put in black and white with silver efex pro, and a bit sharpened, that's all the photo needed. By the way, I always shoot in RAW.In my camera bag
To go to events like this I usually take my 24-70-f2.8 and my 70-200 f2.8 with my two extenders 1.4 and 2.0. Then you have a range from 24 to 400.Feedback
Try to shoot with the shortest possible shutter speed to get as much movement in your picture as possible. It's not easy and there will be a lot of blur. It is a matter of finding what your camera can handle. With this picture, this is less applicable as the car was driving in a curve (this text is translated with deepl).
