Location
This photo was taken at Old St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cincinnati, OhioTime
This photo was taken right after the ceremony around 3 pm in the afternoon.Lighting
The thing I love most about this photo is that it was shot with all natural light. The sun was beaming perfectly through the gorgeous stained glass windows almost creating a spotlight for the bride and groom.Equipment
This was shot handheld with the Nikon d750 and the 85mm 2.8 - no off camera flash for this shot.Inspiration
I loved the grandeur of this chapel and the stunning architectural details. This couple had such grace and classic beauty. I knew I need to capture them in a classic yet modern pose.Editing
My goal is to always get a shot right in camera, however I did do some post processing in Adobe Lightroom. I bumped the contrast and shadows and lowered the highlights a tad.In my camera bag
The first thing I always pack is my Nikon d850 and my favorite three lenses; tamron 24-70, tamron 70-200 and my 85 mm prime. In recent years I have expanded into consistent use of off camera flash. So you will alway see me with my GLOW 34” beauty dish, c stand and flashpoint ad600 or ad200 pros. Also chargers and batteries! Those are a must.Feedback
Shoot wide and look for the light. Get those details!
