Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Syracuse, New York at a green space that surrounds one of the city's reservoirs.

Time

I'm usually driving by this tree in the afternoon light.

Lighting

This was taken the day after a snow storm that coated all of the trees. Most of the snow had melted but there was just a little left to help with contrast.

Equipment

I travel light, just my camera and a 50 mm lens.

Inspiration

Trees are a favorites subject of mine to photograph. I refer to this one as Grandmother because of her many branches open and waiting to hug you.

Editing

No real post processing.

In my camera bag

Not too much. I have a 300 mm lens and the camera with my 50 mm. I have switched from a Cannon to fugi xt2. Enjoying it very much

Feedback

Live somewhere with trees and snow.
