Location
This picture was taken around Barcelona, in Spain. We, my friend Adrià and me, were sailing in front of the Olympic port.Time
I think it was in the afternoon, around 5pm.Lighting
It was not the best time of the day to take photos, regarding the light. Also it was kind of a cloudy day, but those clouds made the picture more interesting.Equipment
I was also sailing in a laser boat next to my friend, so I used a GoPro Hero with a floating handle grip. I put the camera as close to the water as I can and the wide angle lens of the GoPro did the rest.Inspiration
I often bring my GoPro when we go sailing, but if I attach it to the boat I end up with boring pictures and videos, so I tried to change the perspective in a more artistic way. I guess that part of the inspiration comes from watching a lot of surfing videos and pictures.Editing
I just turned it to black and white and increased the contrast a little bit.In my camera bag
I usually carry my Sony HX60v and my GoPro Hero around when I go surfing or sailing.Feedback
Use the right equipment. I mean not only a waterproof camera, also attach floating devices if needed with red or yellow colors to be able to see them in the water in case you loose them. I lost it more than once and I was able to take it back.
