I'm a self taught photographer with a lot to still learn, but I take a picture where I see something interesting. This photo is of my dog BoBo on the day we rescued him from a shelter.Time
We got up early to make the trip to the city where we found BoBo at, it's about 8 am and we had about a 45 minute drive to the shelter. It was a beautiful morning and it was getting hot! We got there and filled out the papers...I'll never forget it, while my daughter was filling out the paper work they brought him in and he jumped right up in my lap and lick my face! I asked him if he was ready to go to his new home he started barking and went to the door, he jumped right in my car and "poised"...I couldn't resist the chance to take a picture. BoBo Mini Rottweiler/Chow mix.Lighting
It was a bright sunny day so I just have natural light.Equipment
This picture was taken with a Nikon camera.Inspiration
I took it because I was happy and you could see BoBo was too....he was sitting there and I swear he is smiling because was out of that shelter! I Later found out that shelter is a kill shelter, I'm so glad we got this sweet thing out of there! BoBo sat like that all the way home.Editing
noIn my camera bag
I would normally have my camera, lens cleaner, strap, extended lens....but I don't have any of that anymore do to an accident and the camera and lens were destroyed, I'll get a new one someday!Feedback
Always be ready to take a shot because you never know when something good is gonna happen. You often see things and wish ya had your camera, that's why it's a good thing to always have it with ya. Taking pictures at random can be a lot of fun, and you get some good things and more natural pictures can hold some great memories. Staging pictures is good too but those spur of the moment shots are the best!!
