Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in a bird sanctuary at Montrose Beach in Chicago, IL

Time

This was in the afternoon

Lighting

I went to this area because they’re known to have a lot of cardinal and I came one afternoon and fed the birds and I happened to look up and their were a few birds and as a took a snap of them one was flying away but it kind of looks like it was waving at me

Equipment

I had a Sony a6100 mirrorless camera with a 55-210mm lens

Inspiration

I wanted to get full use of my 210mm lens and I came to this beach to play with my camera and lens and I was just learning photography

Editing

I like to keep it simple not too much editing, I used an editing app just to give it a sharper image and a little color

In my camera bag

I have my a6100 with my 55-210mm lens as well as my 32-64mm lens

Feedback

Patience, I like to walk around for a few minutes then just stand patiently in a spot with little movement and eventually they’ll all come out and be curious.
