Behind The Lens
Location
I was driving across the state of South Carolina heading home and was tired of interstate. I got off interstate in Lancaster, SC and GPS guided me towards this road as a cut thru. It was absolutely gorgeous so I had to stop and take it in. Luckily I had my camera bag with me.Time
As I was traveling a different route home I came across this road around 4 pm in the late afternoon. As it has been raining and was cloudy it provides for a fantastic setting.Lighting
The sun was low as this was late in the year. With the clouds and the natural soft light diffused it provided a terrific setting for this photograph.Equipment
Nikon D3400 with a kit lens.Inspiration
It was such a dramatic shift from the dull dreary interstate setting. As I love this time of the evening I had to stop the car and just take a minute to take it all in! I can still remember the peacefulness that this this landscape gave me.Editing
Lightly bumped up the contrast and did some color correction to truly capture the “golden-ness” of this moment. In my camera bag
Almost always have my camera bag with me. I was teasing Nikon’s D3400 when I traveled but have since added the D-7500 to my kit. I have a Tamron 16-300 that is my go to lens. Always keep a prime or two with me (35, 50) as well as a Nikon macro 105mm.Feedback
