The photo was taken at the Philadelphia Zoo. We had gone on a trip there and were surprised the Zoo was open. I took the photo because my friend's father is a great lover of flamingos so I wanted to be sure I had a really good shot to send him.Time
We visited the zoo mid morning. The photo was taken right before lunch and during a quiet time with only a few kids running around. It was taken in February of this year.Lighting
The lighting is all natural.Equipment
I used my trusty Canon Sure ShotInspiration
I love the coloring of the flamingos against the gray background. The day was a bit gloomy so their color really popped and I though, I want to capture that to see if I can get a really colorful shot.Editing
NoIn my camera bag
I always have a simple camera and often bring my portable tripod in case I need it.Feedback
I would suggest a few different angles to get things like people out of view. It also helps to minimize the other objects which might appear in the photo which you did not attend.
