I took this photo at the orchid show at Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh PA. It's my favorite place to take photos.Time
This photo was taken in the evening when the lights in the conservatory are shining on the flowers from different directions. There weren't many people on the narrow patht, so I was able to take my time and catch the blue lights shining on the orchid.Lighting
There are hundreds of different species of orchids in the orchid room. The lights where enhancing the flower's appearance. Making each one look as though they were in disguise.Equipment
Believe it or not, I take almost all of my photos with my camera phone. There is no special lens or flash. The flower is as it is in natureInspiration
Phipps is my favorite place to be and take photos. I'm excited when a picture turns out like this one did. I had my daughter with me, who is very patient while I'm snapping away. She practically grew up there.Editing

I was able to capture this afternoon dusk when the lights nearby were lighting up the flowers.
