Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Northern Blossoms, Benguet, Philippines. I started to be a landscape photographer hobbyist until then I want to explore more on different kinds of photography.

Time

It's one of my favorite photo taken during that day. During our visit on the farm, many people are there to experience the farm nature scenery full of different flowers. I don't bring my tripod this time. The weather condition is not quite good since, it's a gloomy one. I found the flower on the garden to shoot by the time of 10:38 AM.

Lighting

There is no special about the lightning, the weather condition is gloomy and cloudy

Equipment

This is shot with my Sony Alpha 6000 with sigma 56mmf1.4 hand held. No other equipment is used.

Inspiration

I always wanted to show to other people the improvement of my photography. I want also to inspire other people. I traveled with a special someone to this place. I want to give her a flower that can be remembered for the both of us.

Editing

Originally the photo is taken colored on the camera. I used light room to tweak highlights and shadows. Afterwards, I convert it to be a black and white.

In my camera bag

The first thing that I always pack is my Sony Alpha 6000 for it's lightweight for travelling with my two favorite prime lens combined with my camera. Sigma 16mm f1.4, E-mount, I always make use of these lens to capture landscape scenery. Next one is the Sigma 56mm f1.4 to take portrait and close up subjects. For documenting my travel, I use the Sony AS50 action camera and to create time lapse for landscape transition lights. I also make use a tripod, Benro AT20 to setup for my landscape photography.

Feedback

Yes, many photographers also share there tips on taking every creative shot. For me, checking other people work's and photos for reference give me ideas. Taking photos outdoor is my favorite one, I always want to chase the sunlight hitting the subject. During sunrise and sunsets are incredible to add dramatic. Separate also the subject to create focus, find the right angle. Taking flower photos would be great if they are not fully bloom. Add creativity and passion for every shot you take.
