This photo was taken at the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge In Cincinnati, Ohio! I am a self taught photographer and enjoy playing with Visual perception. The eye beholds great truth through each view!Time
This was a typical cloudy, cold and gloomy winter day in Ohio. It was approximately 4:00 p.m, and it wasn’t the optimal day for what I was trying to achieve. I don’t get down to Cincinnati as much as I’d like, so I took the opportunity while I was there. It actually worked to my advantage, as I was able to capture the ‘real story’ I was trying to convey! Even through the bleak conditions, there is always light!Lighting
The natural light played a vital role. The clouds created the darker cast desired, while the remaining daylight bouncing off the bridge created the luminous aspect. As a whole, it helped create some of the emotion of the story I was depicting!Equipment
I used my iPhone 7. Timer. Auto flash. I set the phone against a street sign.Inspiration
It is a pivotal time in my life for which I want to document. There are Bright times to celebrate. There are also dark times that I have to feel my way through. I’m at a standstill, but I’m ready and willing to move forward. I wanted to capture the speed in which I’m traveling through these crucial times. The bridge represents moving from one chapter of my life to the next. Projecting myself from one point to another on my journey through life. Following my dreams and passions. There is always hope.Editing
I’m just an amateur. I have a great deal to learn. I thoroughly enjoy playing with different filters, effects and tools. First I darkened the clouds. Then I created the effect of speed. The image of myself is original. In my camera bag
I always have my phone, so I take a great deal of pictures on it. I’m pleasantly surprised at many of the final results I achieve with it. I also have a Nikon D70. I love using this. I need to purchase some items. Then I can begin to utilize it once again. I want to continue learning so I can further my passion for photography!Feedback
Never compare yourself! There are endless artists and creations for which you can feel inferior. Take pride in your own work. You created it! It’s special! Everyone has their own view, even if that means it’s not what you originally intended to convey! That’s the beauty of Art. Take as many shots as you want. You don’t know what you will finally capture! You (and your work) are a masterpiece just the way you are
