Location
This photo was taken in my neighborhood; during the weeks of snow in Washington, so my friend, Aashna, and I wanted to take advantage of it!Time
Aashna and I planned the whole photoshoot the day before; where we wanted to go, what kind of shots we wanted, etc. It was probably around 35 degrees (ish) and it was mid-day. My hands were freezing, and we didn't plan for it to be snowing, but we continued and the photos turned out great.Lighting
Our goal was to get bright, fun pictures, as they were meant for our instagrams. And with all the white snow around, lighting was not problem! We got the pictures we wanted in amazing lighting.Equipment
This was shot on my Canon Rebel T6 with a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lensInspiration
Well, like I mentioned before, we wanted to get good instagram photos, especially during our time off school. So we just went out to have fun and capture those moments.Editing
I can't quite remember, but I don't believe there was any major post processing involved. I think I had to adjust some lighting -- since it was a little over exposed-- but this photo is almost the same as the raw.In my camera bag
Normally, when doing photoshoots with friends I like to bring the least amount of equipment possible, since we don't know how far we may walk or if we have to climb anything, so I only carry my camera and the typical 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.Feedback
Honestly, there wasn't many specifics things needed to capture this shot. I would say the biggest component was obviously the weather, and how the snowflakes fell perfectly in the shot... But otherwise, nothing much. It's also a lot of communication with your model, make them feel comfortable, and have fun!
