We have had smoke for two months from the hundreds of bush fires up and down the coastal areas.Here we are 2020 and as bad as any I have seen during my life time.Thousands of homes lost and many human lives.It is estimated that in excess of a billion native animals have perished and more than 2 billion life forms.Over 9 million cattle and 25 million sheep have died down the east coast alone.Heart breaking and still ongoing.The one good bit of news today is that the tropical low created by cyclone Blake(yes cyclones as well) looks like extending from Broome in the North West all the south to Victoria ,bringing heavy rain with it,If that happens it will help break the drought that has had most of the county in its grip for the last few years.Great news indeed but too late for the many thousands that have homes and more in the fires.
