Location
This photo was taken at the south Rim of Grand Canyon National Park in late September. We rolled into the park late evening and caught this sunset minutes before the sun went down.Time
Late evening about 5 minutes before sun down.Lighting
The lighting in the scene was incredible. It allowed for some incredible colors in the canyons below as you can see. The soft glow bright out the most color and the sky decided it wanted to have a show as well which was great.Equipment
I used my trusty Sony A7iii equipped with a 16-35 f4 lens and a Tiffen polarizer on the lens.Inspiration
The beauty of the Grand Canyon and the fact that I got a glimpse of the Colorado in the image as well was a plus.Editing
This certainly is not a RAW image. It was edited in Lightroom using my personal presets that I created. In my camera bag
In my bad are Tiffen Natural ND filters for my long exposures that I do for waterfalls and occasional sunsets if the clouds are right. I have a sigma 35mm and a 24-105 f4 Sony lens as well. I keep my pack pretty basic and honestly hardly carry my tripod aroundFeedback
The right time and the right place and everything. Lighting is game changer for all photos but do not limit yourself to only the morning and evening. Challenge yourself in all lighting and get out and use your eyes to capture great compositions.
