The Statut called Santa Maria of Santa Cruz signifies the biggest Christian Symbol in Algeria a Muslim country and has a cathedral attached to it. This place is found on top of a hill called santa Cruz built by the Spanish military In The 18th century as war tunnels and military hide out. This environment today serves as a monument and a touristic site while the church is been taken care of by the Catholic Church in Oran and maintenance such as rehabilitation of the Statut with support from other foreign partners. Christian in this town of Oran are usually migrants of several countries and this is the place that unifies them for worship at least ones in a year for during the Easter week.
