I took this photo on a beautiful sunny day where the light filtered into my bedroom through the blinds so perfectly. On impulse, after a shower I realized I was alone at home so I changed into some lingerie and rolled around on my own sheets. I wanted a sexy shot that wasn’t necessarily a nude shot. I wanted to be able to hang it in my bedroom or powder room without blushing or worrying my dad might see it. Sometimes it’s what isn’t showing that evokes strong emotion in a photo. This photo is one of a series I shot with my mobile. The photo is erotic and I am super proud of it. It proves that sometimes your best work can be a result of a spontaneous shot you weren’t even planning. My own body image has improved with my age. This photo is a celebration of having the confidence to love yourself imperfections included. For this photo my lover James was my muse. I just love boudoir photography.
