Stunning clusters off Gymnopilus mushrooms on conifer forest mulch in North Idaho

A day trip to Green Bay Campground on a smoky day in North Idaho. I liked this photo better B&W. Such a timeless feel.

The bees love them, the squirrels steal them, but they make us happy to see them every day.

Our tin roof sheds the snow slowly. We get huge berms and snow curtains and gnarly icicles. I found this one to be especially cool.

We typically get moose visiting our property a few times every year.

Metal roof in North Idaho sheds the snow, creating curtains, gnarly icycles, roof avalanches and large berms.

This pair of giant silk moths stayed like this all day. Their wings joined to make a face... perhaps to deter potential predators.

Behind The Lens

Location

The dock at Higgins Point on Lake Couer d'Alene is our favorite place to view Bald Eagles as they hunt for Kokanee Salmon. Some folks get a closer view from their boat and feeding goes until the sun has set.
