Location
This picture was taken in a random street of the neighborhood of Montmartre in Paris. This is the proof that we don’t need the Eiffel Tower in the background to make a good pic!Time
For sure in the morning, I always do my pictures during the morning to avoid a hard sunlight in my subjects. I remember that it was a really sunny morning but the temperature almost froze me and my model. :)Lighting
I wanna a soft light for this subject and a nice background to match my model outfit, so I suggest we do this photo after 10am, then I could get some nice light in the background but at the same time not a hard light in my model face. I try to avoid using speed light on my pictures.Equipment
I was using a Canon 70D for this picture, and lens Canon EF 24-70 F/1:4. No tripod, no flash, just me and the camera laying down in the street to shoot this image.Inspiration
For sure the outfit. When I received the outfit, I picture this location in my mind. I remember passing by there few days ago and I could see that autumn colors all around the neighborhood. So why not match the nature and the outfit in a picture?Editing
Yes, I worked a lot on this picture. First of all, some skin retouching on photoshop, and then hours and hours on Lightroom trying to creat the perfect retouch for this picture, respecting the original colors but giving more life and contrast. In my camera bag
That’s all depends which bag haha.. for portraits/editorial I have a Canon 6D Mark II and Canon 5D mark IV. For landscape and sometime portraits/editorial I have a Canon A-1(film) and Canon 70D. With thousand of different lens for all those equipmentsFeedback
Yessss!! The most important advice is TRUST IN YOURSELF. And of course try to explore different angles and stop looking for a beautiful landscape, people can do a great picture anywhere. Forget about expensive props, for this picture I used a leaf that we found in the street. Play with your model, ask for the model move, dance while you’re shooting, than you can get something more natural and unique.
