Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken near Sahuarita Arizona, USA.

Time

It was taken at sunset.

Lighting

The light from the setting sun lit the underside of the clouds and the falling rain.

Equipment

I used a Canon 6d with a Canon 24-105 lens and a Manfrotto tripod and head.

Inspiration

I shoot a lot of sunsets and this is one that I was lucky enough to catch.

Editing

I shoot in the RAW mode so I have to process for publication. I use the levels and sharpening in Photoshop for most of my processing.

In my camera bag

I shoot with a Canon 6d and a Canon T2i. My favorite lens are a Canon 24-105 and a Sigma 18-200. I also carry a Sigma 12-20, a Canon 100-400, and the kit lens that came with the T2i. I use a Manfrotto tripod and head with a Pluto trigger. I have a couple of flashes but they rarely see the light of day.

Feedback

My only advice is to keep trying. Every day is not a great photo day. Just don't give up.
