Location
The photo was taken on one of my roadtrips in the Mackenzie District, Canterbury, New Zealand.Time
It was very gloomy and misty that day, probably around noon after 12pm. It had rained the night before and in the morning.Lighting
This picture was actually shot while the car was in motion. We didn't stop to get this click but luckily I got a decent shot.Equipment
This was shot on my Nikon D5600 with a 70-300mm zoom lensInspiration
I was taking pictures from the car window when I saw faint streams of sunlight near this mountain range. Out of nowhere a bird just flew through it.Editing
I dehazed the picture and applied a black and white filter to it. I wanted to focus on the light streams and the bird.In my camera bag
I normally have my DSLR, 3 lenses which is the basic kit lens 18-55mm, 35mm prime lens and 70-300mm zoom lens. I also carry vanguard tripod which comes handy in New Zealand weather.Feedback
South Canterbury has this lovely country feel to it. Take the Scenic inland route 72 and you will be left spellbound.
