Location
This was taken below the iconic town of Ronda, Spain.Time
After searching the maze of trails on the hillside for over an hour, I managed to find the trail to an small ladder to get down to the water, This trail ends at a small swimming hole, and a 20 minute extremely strenuous hike jumping boulders and minor rock climbing to get to the large waterfall. I set up my Promaster tripod and set my Nikon D850 to a timer so I could run into the frame.Lighting
I waited until late afternoon to avoid the harsh light and to catch that faint red glow on the iconic bridge.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D850, Tamron 15-30mm 2.8f, Promaster SP528 tripod.Inspiration
When I first saw a photo of the Ronda bridge, I knew I wanted to take a photo from the waterfalls below the base of the bridge. But the more I searched and found nothing, the more I obsessed with finding a way. After hours of searching online I finally found a photo of the lower pool with the caption "hard hike, but do-able", and with that small confirmation I made it my goal to take a photo of the Ronda bridge and waterfall up close.Editing
I put this image through lightroom to change the green hue of the overhanging plants and warm up the white balance. In my camera bag
Huge fan of the Fstop bags and bag inserts to change the amount of my gear that i'm bringing depending on the extent of the hike.Feedback
Since the trail system can be difficult to understand, I made a youtube video on how I got here.
