Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the dining room of my house. I had the idea of doing a medusa shoot with my daughter. I created the props and did all her make up and she brought the sassiness.

Time

Sometime in the afternoon.

Lighting

I used natural light. It was a bit darker than I wanted to. But it worked well.

Equipment

A Nikon D800, a sigma 35mm 1.4 and a tripod

Inspiration

I love Greek mythology and I thought it would be nice to have my daughter dressed up.

Editing

Yes, it was edited in photoshop. I love fine art type of editing so I lose myself on my pictures.

In my camera bag

Nikon D800, sigma 135mm, Nikkor 80-200mm 2.8 and sigma 35mm if I’m in my studio as it’s small.

Feedback

Be creative, enjoy every step of the process. I loved painting the props and glueing them together and I definitely loved getting my daughter painted in gold to match.
