The Grumman FM2 Wildcat was the US Navy's first retractable gear monoplane fighter, entering service with both the US Navy and the Royal Navy in 1940. This Fighter Collection's Wildcat was built in 1945 and restored to flying condition in the USA before moving to IWM Duxford in 1993. It carries the scheme of a Fleet Air Arm aircraft and is the sole airworthy example in Europe.
