Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a public health center feom ny city Vitoria-Gasteiz. The building is quite modern and I found it really atractive from a photographic point of view. I put my camara on the wall of the building and shot to the sky leading the audience through the lines.

Time

The building is near to my workplace and one day after being "released" from my duties I was out with ny camera. Eager to get pictures of interesting views I walked out and the building inmediatly caught my eye. It was winter aound 5pm and with a cloudy weather together with the cold the light was amazing.

Lighting

Winter light always captures me. Even thouhg the cold can be felt on your bones the light at the end of the day melt your cheeks. This was the case.

Equipment

My Nikon D7100 with the Sigma lens 17-55 is my secret companion and a trustful friend. I really love the sensitive focus ring of the lense since I shoot usually without the automatic focus.

Inspiration

The attractive building catches the eye of everyone in the neighborhood due to the metal lines across the street. I wanted to transmit this dizzy and hypnotizing feeling playing with lines, light and the contrast.

Editing

I played with the contrast to empower lines.

In my camera bag

I use my Nikon D7100 and my lense Sigma 17-54 f2.8 for sessions since I lately acquired a Fuji XT1 which right now I use as a regular basis for my day to day shoots.

Feedback

Think and watch different, try new perspectives, new ideas... Don't be afraid to fail, worst scenario you may end with a dead battery and less space on your card.
