Behind The Lens

Location

Tilpa Pub, NSW Australia A Blue Heeler (Australian cattle dog) sitting on the back of a ute waiting for his mate

Time

It was coming to sunset but still before golden hour on hot Spring day The pub is surrounded by Australian bush which always makes for good light at that time of day

Lighting

I saw the light dappled and reflecting of the metal of the ute and being a huge dog lover I approached very gently. With that the light got more intense and the dog more serious lol

Equipment

Canon Mark 5 III, 24-105 USM lense

Inspiration

The whole country/Outback atmosphere, the light and the mature working dog.

Editing

I lightened somewhat and upped the saturation a tiny bit in LR 6

In my camera bag

My Canon Mark 5 III, 24-105 lens Flashlight Tripod Canon Nifty 50mm, Canon 28-300 Various ND and polarizer filters. Cleaning stuff, notepad, little torch, mobile phone

Feedback

Learn to open your eyes and really see (Husband and I go on trips together and afterward I show him my pics and he often says "Oh which trip was this, stunning, was I there?") Even an ordinary scene can have interesting features. Love what you do and have patience. Immerse yourself
