Location
I took this photo on a deer walk at Studley Royal, in Yorkshire. It was the time of the deer rut, and they were trimming up....Time
It was during the morning as the deer are more active then, sorry not to remember the exact time.Lighting
Fortunately it was a clear day, we had to take the light as it came, adjust the iso and then alter as needed in Lightroom.Equipment
Nikon D7500 with a NIKON DX VR lens, 70-300mm....telephoto lens. No tripod, I had to balance against a tree for steadiness.Inspiration
I loved his face, he looked so proud of his deception to impress the ladies!Editing
Yes, I opened it in Lightroom and cropped to make a better more balanced shot. I have also used it as a Christmas card..I changed the straw to fairy lights. In my camera bag
My Nikon, my telephoto lens, standard lens and a macro. Tripod if I think I will need it...spare batteries x 3, paranoid! and a spare memory card.Feedback
Get there early, listen for the sound of the bulls roaring and have patience, you have to walk quite a way sometimes, so comfy shoes!
