St Patrick’s Glenarm is a gothic church build in the 1760s on the vaults of an earlier Franciscan Monastery which was founded by the Norman Bisset family in 1465. Though an act of parliament of 1698 banned burials within the confines of a dissolved monastery, this ruling was ignored by all faiths, and the site of the friary continued as the most important place of interment in Glenarm. Dedicated to Saint Patrick the church is on the world famous Antrim Coast Road and has many fine stained glass windows.
