The photo was taken in my home town Baker City, Oregon, out on a ranch that I work for during planting and harvest season. Im a self taught photographer so every photo I take is new learning experience for me.Time
This is more or less one of my favorite photos I've snapped of myself. It was one if the onky nice sunny and suprisingly hot days we had during potatoe harvest last season (2019). I was sitting in my vehicle taking a break due to one of our harvest machines being broke down and needing parts. I didnt have my camera only my phone and i haf looked in the mirror and seen how good the lighting was and originally was just gonna snap the pic and send it to my boyfriend, but after taking the picture there was something about it that made me feel really beautiful anf confident that day working potatoes look scruffy. Hahahaha. The picture was taken on just days before my birthday. September 27th 2019 @ 1:23 p.m.Lighting
Honestly is was pure luck and unexpected with the lighting in this picture. I wasnt even thinking about taking one just wanted to take a short nap in my car amd enjoy the days sunshine cause it had been cold the days before and was gonna be even colder the days ahead of us. I just happend to catch my reflection in the mirror and felt like now is the perfect time to capture myself in this moment.Equipment
Funny i only had my mobile phone, a Samsung Galaxy J7 sky Pro with the camera app i installed on it which was CameraMX and had placed it on steady mode with HDR.Inspiration
Just the reflection i caught of myelf that day just made me feel sole tume of way in a positive manner. Im the living in the moment type and appreciate all the small things in life. I take pictures constantly wuth no thought other then whatever feeling I was feeling in that movement that had my attention to where i would think to myself "man this would be an epic picture to have", or and awe moment cause whatever i was looking at was just amaxing for some reason.Editing
I used Adobe Photo shop to smooth out the flaws in the picture fir a more clear look as best as I could being as I was using my mobile phones camera. In my camera bag
I usually have my Panasonic digital camera but unfortunately i broke it and hadnt had a chance or funds to replace it so i was using my ancient canon digital camera Ingot back in 2007 when my oldest child was born, but had left it at hole because i wasnt expecting to be taking pictures at work.Feedback
Only advice I have being as I'm a beginner and all hahahah, is don't think to hard about what your trying to capture. If you do nkthing will seem or feel right about it and frustration kicks in and then your trying way to hard and sometimes that can ruine the experience you had during that tike regardless if you got the perfect shot or not. Just take a deep breath relax and just go with the flow, i find music playing in my headphones or whatever is the best medicine for relaxation and can make any shot an amazing one.
