Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken near my holiday home in Cyprus near Paphos. The Ship the Eldro IIIis in Paphos near the Sea Caves. It ran aground on the 8th December 2011 in heavy seas. All crew were rescued and airlifted by a British Military helicopter.

Time

The photos was taken on the 28th Sept 2019 at Sunset around 7.45pm. Very close is an amazing restaurant/cocktail bar to go to afterwards!

Lighting

The light at this time of the year can bring some magical moments to the lens, and this night was no exception.

Equipment

I used my Leica SL and 24-90mm lens set to around 35mm, on my 3 legged thing Tripod. No filters were used.

Inspiration

I've visited this location a few times but never with my camera. I had a friend stay with me for a couple of weeks, who is also into his photography and decided it would be nice to take him there and share the experience.

Editing

My post processing varies from using Lightroom, to photos and Luminar. This particular photo was put through lightroom and the Luminar for final tweeking.

In my camera bag

I usually take everything just in case! Which can include umbrella and knee pads! in my bag i have various filters and polariser which is Lee Filter System along with my Leica SL and 24-90mm lens. The usual lens cleaning kit and tripod.

Feedback

Always choose what light will look best for the scene and take plenty of photos from different angles.
