Behind The Lens

Location

I was struggling for air and trying to find my way among the masses filling the place while trying to keep up with my tourist group, but I could not stop clicking away again and again. No doubt this is a magnificent site with many secrets

Time

It was noon time in a rainy day with plenty of fog, therefore I was lucky to get some views, because apparently in the morning or the evening it was too foggy there to see anything.

Lighting

The air was relatively clear with tiny drops of air and the light was totally scattered, so there was no need for over or under compensation, therefore it was relatively easy to work on dept of field.

Equipment

Sony alfa 6500 mirrorless, which was definitely a good surprise to me in its performance.

Inspiration

I was intrigued by the contrast between the glory of the past and the surrounding mountains and the masses of people filling up the place hanging out in all directions interfering and messing up the calmness of the place.

Editing

I used Corel Paintshop to process it, I needed just the minimum for better clarity of the photo.

In my camera bag

I am not a professional photographer, and I can't carry heavy equipment anyway, so I use Sony Mirror-less with lens of 18-135 mm. No filters or any other accessory.

Feedback

Make sure not to be part of a tourist group which has no sensibility to photography and shove their phones in front of your camera all the time... Take your time, and go in a non sunny day and non foggy day, but for that you need a lot of luck in the Andes mountains of Peru
