Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo of a fallen Redwood in California about an hour from the coast.

Time

It was a pretty chilly morning. We waited until the sun came up so it was a bit warmer. I remember it was the first thing I saw getting out of the truck. I was a pea compared to the size of this giant tree and it’s root system. I could have checked it out for hours.

Lighting

In the thick of the redwood forest, not much light was able to come through. The little bit I did catch in the background was breathtaking.

Equipment

I used my canon rebel iOS t6i with a Tamaron zoom lens. No tripod or flash.

Inspiration

I love capturing unique and beautiful things. Memories I can hold into forever.

Editing

I’m an amateur. I find nature beautiful all by itself, I don’t process any of my images.

In my camera bag

A lot of equipment that I’m still new and learning about. But I love to experiment and I’m alway looking for my next photo opportunity.

Feedback

Just point and shoot. Learn by getting out there and trying different scenes and lighting. Practice makes perfect, and it’s a blast!
