Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at my home after several hours of sitting on my front porch watching the bird.

Time

I was so ecstatic to have been able to capture this photo, it's definitely one of my best ever! The photo was taken in the early afternoon on a beautiful sunny day around 2:00pm.

Lighting

The lighting is just natural lighting from the sun

Equipment

I used my Canon Rebel and the settings were surprisingly just set on auto, no tripod just me and my camera!

Inspiration

I love to take pictures of wildlife and nature, it's definitely my passion. I could sit in one spot all day long to try to capture the perfect picture. Its where I'm at peace with everything, sort of my meditation. The world around me is my biggest inspiration. The fact that the image is frozen in time for future generations to see and perhaps learn about.

Editing

no tweaking of the photo at all. What you see is exactly the photo shot.

In my camera bag

I usual always have my canon 18-55mm IS lens and a tripod and of course a few extra batteries.

Feedback

the biggest thing I would tell someone is patience. You have to have time and patience to capture the prefect photos when it comes to nature. And also to take lots and lots of photos because you may take a 100 pictures of the same subject and only 1 may be usable.
