Location
As an aircraft engineer in the Royal Air force I was deployed to Kenya in support of the Army Afghanistan build up training. Working 24 on 24 off so we were on safari every other day. Standing on top of a 1960's explorer i saw it and snapped. My beloved Cannon Ixxy, a massive 10 mega pixel camera did me proud.Time
Mid afternoon, we didn't wake early on an off day. You never knew if you were working the full 24 on or not.Lighting

Cannon ixxy. Free hand.Inspiration
The shear buzz of being sent to yet another country for free. OK so we were working insane hours! I'd never been to Africa, just the word Safari made me feel like any wildlife photo was possible.Editing
It's as raw as the day I took it.In my camera bag
Nowadays, lots. Back then. The digital camera with a spare memory card.Feedback
Nowadays you all have phones better than my camera at time. If you're in a photo rich environment, take out your phone, select camera and just keep looking!
