Location
This photo was taken in the picturesque San Bernardino Mountains. Fulmor Lake is a day use area that my husband and I love to visit every summer. One of the interesting fact about this place was a long time ago it was home to indigenous Indians. We know this because there are mortar holes ground out of the granite bedrock.Time
As one of my favorite places to visit during the summer this picture was taken on August 29th at 4:00 pm. I didn't seem like it was later in the afternoon because we were enjoying the trail that winds around the lake. There we find squirrels, frogs, fish and your occasional goose. The brilliant orange dragonflies and fun to watch and the tall reeds sway in the breeze.Lighting
Well in all actuality, I did not have any special lighting, just what nature provide for me.Equipment
I used a Samsung Galaxy S9+ cell phone. No tripod, no lens, But what I did do is use the manual setting of f/2.4 and ISO 50 and just made sure it was set at 12 megapixels to give me the largest size that cell phone could produce. What I normally do when shooting with a cell phone and no tripod is tuck my elbows into my ribs take in a deep breath and hold then shot the picture.Inspiration
As I came to that particular spot I could see the perfect amount of foreground and when looking over the calm water the reflection was pristine & the absolutely gorgeous pine trees that wrapped around the scene, well need I say more.Editing
Yes I used Lightroom just to brightened the sky and greenery just a tad.In my camera bag
I only use a cell phones. When I go to a retail store to by a cell phone I also say, "I want to by a great camera that can make phone calls."Feedback
Low ISO settings are a must! As I was taught. It's not the equipment you have, it's how you use.
