Behind The Lens

Location

This photo of my beloved dog was taken at a lake in Oroville, WA. It was a nice capture and unexpected. I love it when that happens when you don’t try to make something work and the magic happens all by itself.

Time

This was a late in the afternoon trip to the lake with Sherman and I happened to take my old camera just for fun.

Lighting

The light was very pretty and soft late in the day light reflection off the lake where a nice glow effect to this amazing image of my Dog.

Equipment

This shot was taken with my old DSLR canon rebel with a Tameron telephoto lens. This is my older camera and I love to take it out from time to time especially on adventures with my dog to the lake or beach. I don’t have to worry and fuss about it and I’m able to just interact with my active dog without worry to my camera .

Inspiration

This was a moment captured in time Of a special memory with my Dog Sherman when he was one year of age , he will be 9 on Valentine’s Day 2020. We have been through a lot together and I love this photo which hangs on my wall in a giant print.

Editing

I have altered this image a little from time to time to see different effects but I always come back to the more natural capture.

In my camera bag

I shoot pro with my two Sony cameras along with Sony and Ziess lenses . I always have a pocket flash the AD 200 is my go too. I’m very obsessive about having tons of batteries for some reason and also SD cards . It’s a thing I have!

Feedback

My advice is be natural . For me I feel blessed because I have a superb natural ability at composition. My best advice is to just become absorbed in the feel and energy of the moment and don’t force it. When your in tune and aware in your environment everything flows and that is when magic happens in the art of photography. Good luck stay Blessed !
