Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken on my relative's property, he has over 50 acres with a beautiful section of woods with winding paths. This photo was taken on one of those paths.Time
This was taken mid afternoon, the sun was out, full and warm, the sun beams shattered and permeated through the tops of the trees.Lighting
The lighting was solely provided by the fractured suns beams.Equipment
This image was shot with a Pentax Asahi. No flash was needed. I did use a tripod. After the photograph was produced I then put the image through Adobe Photoshop to add the ocean like background filter.Inspiration
My inspiration came from one of my earlier works, a poem titled, "My Heart Is The Atlantic", I believe the photograph depicts my words perfectly.Editing
Yes I did use Adobe Photoshop for editing. I previously created the background image and applied it to my photograph. It gives the appearance of ocean or sky and in my opinion, gives a great overall appeal. In my camera bag
I have a wide range of items in my bag, an automatic Canon, a Pentax Asahi, a Canon digital, film cartridges, many I have not yet processed, a few filters, two flashes and lens cloths.Feedback
The best advice I can give to a fellow photographer is to follow a feeling. Some of my best work came from an emotion. Once you have that, you can frame your shot, is it moody, mysterious or is it something else. Lighting plays an important role, it can empower a shot, also adding to the emotion of the photograph.
