Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a what field in the countryside in England. I found some wild flowers in the field and wanted to capture the contrast.

Time

It was around midday, on a very warm sunny day.

Lighting

I wanted to capture the stunning bright colours of the wild flowers growing in this field while the sun was illuminating them

Equipment

Canon eos 1300d and a 50mm prime lens. Procreate was used to add the details to the bees in post.

Inspiration

It was a wonderful summer day and I wanted to capture the nature around me

Editing

The raw image was processed once, to adjust light and colour and achieve a realistic but saturated photo. The bees were then drawn around using procreate because I wanted to make the photo look artistic and dynamic.

In my camera bag

I’m a self taught photographer and only have beginner kit- on this day I only had my canon 1300d and 50mm prime lens.

Feedback

Just wonder around fields and enjoy yourself. There’s many photogenic bugs and flowers out there to be photographed!
