Location
Rosthwaite is a small village in the heart of the Lake District, located in a valley near the Borrowdale Fells, and between the Derwent River and its tributary Stonethwaite Beck, this is popular hiking territory as the valley sits but a mile or two from England's tallest peak Scafell Pike and some of the Lake District's most dramatic scenery.Time
This was taken in the early afternoon.Lighting
A slightly overcast day, but the Lake District is one of those places that looks great whatever the weather.Equipment
Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ70 a capable little compact with a very good Lens, I don't like carrying a lot of heavy glass with me on travels.Inspiration
Just saw these two folk walking down this peaceful little road and thought it and the setting complimented each other.Editing
All images I take are filed and processed if needed, through Adobe Lightroom. In my camera bag
Really depends were I'm going and what I'm doing, the older I get the less I want to struggle carrying heavy gear around, I do have a Canon 6D with a Sigma 24-105 Art Lens, great kit but oh so heavy! So I have had a secret love for quality Compacts- The TZ70 used here was cheap and though a little dated, can as you still turn out a decent image, I also love my SonyRX100 Mk.3 Fabulous little compact, a great admirer of Sony Compacts, a 1" sensor really helps it's only downfall is its limited zoom capacity, Got a Tamron 70 -300 zoom great bit of glass again, but my latest love is an Olympus OMD-E M10 Mk3 - Micro4/3 such a brilliant little camera and the kit lenses 14-42 and 40-150 are underrated gems to work with.Feedback
Always have a Camera to hand! I always keep a compact near me when on any journey.
