A short walk in the Kootenay Plains area of the Front Range of the Rockies.Alberta. Canada brings you to this impressive canyon. Behind me is a 70 foot fall that I have never managed to photograph adequately. The water is cold - very cold _ recently released from its genesis in a snowfield. In a few short k. it will join the North Saskatchewan River and flow east under several names eventually reaching the east side of Hudsons Bay. Early in the history of Canada the lower part of the river was the access to the fur rich shield which enriched a few, but for most it was a a time of penury and toil and premature death.
