Dragonfly Summer

I've had a camera of one type or another in my hand since a young age and always wanted to capture a dragonfly that I'd be proud to print for my personal wall art. Well, this past weekend found me on a day trip to one of our local mountain lakes in search of my dragonfly.

As I sat by the waters edge watching my two huskies romp in the water, several reds fluttered by but none close enough or with a place to land until I walked around to the other side of a tree and spotted this one. It sat there a while as I inched my way closer with each click of my shutter and was able to capture this beauty!
