I took this image sometime in the afternoon. I used studio lighting in this image.Lighting
I wanted the lighting in this image to show reflections off the metal silverware necklace but also to light up my face. The lighting also is nice how it reflects off certain areas of my hair. I wanted this black and white image to have a lot of contrast between the darks and lights but also give a mysterious, dark appearance.Equipment
I used the Cannon rebel T6i camera with a black backdrop and Continuous studio lighting. I also used a remote to take the image while my camera was on a tripod because this is a self portrait.Inspiration
What inspired me to take this image was I had created this beautiful necklace out of silverware. And I wanted to see how it would photograph in a black and white image.Editing
All I did for this image in post processing was make it a black and white image because I was originally shooting the image in color.In my camera bag
I always have my cannon rebel T6i with me and I also have a macro Lens. I also carry a remote so I can do self portraits and I of course have extra batteries and SD cards.Feedback
My best advice to capture something similar to this is to play around with your lighting. You want the lighting to reflect of certain parts of the image.
