Location
This photo was taken last February in Death Valley during a photographic workshop sponsored by Canon and featuring Erin Babnik, a world class adventure photographer. The idea was to capture patterns using the natural sweep of the sand dunes and the setting sun which casts shadows and highlights of varying degrees. I was fortunate to capture this image because the vegetation caught my eye, otherwise, i most likely could have missed it altogether. Death Valley is a target rich environment for minimalist images.Time

Gotta got out and explore, go places, and shoot. Sand dunes provide many opportunities to capture interesting and exciting images that are unique. They also are constantly changing their shape, form, and characteristics.
