The Reddish Egrets (both Red and White Morph versions) were active on July 4, 2019 off the Bolivar Flats in Texas. I took this image at ground level using a skimmer pod. I love this technique - it gets me on the same level as the birds and allows me to move in much closer than if I was standing or kneeling.
