This was quite possibly the most touching, soul-fulfilling, eye-opening day of my life. I joined a 5500m summit trek at the literal last minute, through the Himalayas in India. I hiked 80km over two days with no previous high altitide training, and I met with and connected with the most beautiful soul I have ever met- This dog, Sam (Samoosa). If it wasn't for Sam, I am not sure that I would've conquered that summit so easily. This day, the prayer flags of Kashmir and Jammu of India and this dog will remain etched in my heart forever.
